Noelle Fries is a self-taught artist based in the Hudson Valley, NY who has worked as a health equity practitioner for more than 15 years. She holds degrees in Race, Gender, and Sexuality (BA, Mills College) and Community Health (MPH, CUNY School of Public Health). Noelle has exhibited in group shows in San Francisco, New York City, and at The Wellcome Collection museum in London. Her work was published in Celebrate People’s History:
The Poster Book of Resistance and Revolution (2nd ed). Her first solo show — (un)earthing at Market Street Studio in Ellenville, NY — is on exhibit from December 5, 2024 - January 12, 2025.
Inspired by a profound devotion to nature, community, and justice, she is exploring a wide variety of mediums to amplify beauty and foster (personal and collective) healing. Noelle is currently farming, curating community projects, founding a queer art collective, and applying to art residencies and programs to deepen her practice.
